While scientists are quite certain that major earthquakes will continue to strike the Oregon coast, less is know about the seismic potential of the much-closer Corvallis fault.

USGS Report: "No unequivocal evidence for deformation within the past 1.6 million years has been described."

Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries report: "..the probability of activity on the Corvallis fault is not clear, perhaps very low.."
